‘In other words’, söylenen bir durumu en açık, yalın ve doğrudan sonucuyla/özetiyle koymak için kullanılır (Bottom-line / Stark conclusion).
Her iki ifade de genellikle iki bağımsız cümle arasında noktalı virgül (;) veya nokta (.) sonrası VIRGÜL (,) ile ayrılır.
ÖRNEK:
He missed every single deadline and failed all targets. In other words, he will be fired.
She avoids meat, poultry, fish, and dairy. In other words, she is vegan.

Karmaşık, teknik veya soyut bir fikri anlamayı kolaylaştırmak için FARKLI BİR AÇI, METAFOR veya ANALOJİ ile yeniden anlatır.
